Selected scholars receive financial support toward their studies and living expenses, together with insurance and travel assistance. The University of Freiburg first evaluates applications and nominates suitable candidates, after which DAAD conducts its own review and makes the final scholarship decisions.

  • Internships and voluntary work do not count toward the required professional experience.
  • Applicants should not have lived in Germany for more than 15 months before applying.
  • Meet the academic and admission requirements of the Master’s in Environmental Governance programme.
