Eligibility Criteria

• Applicants must be international students eligible for the scholarship.
• Applicants must be resident citizens of Ethiopia, Malawi, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda, or Zimbabwe.
• Applicants must not have previously studied outside Africa, except for training lasting six months or less.
• Applicants must hold an offer to study at the University of Manchester when required for final scholarship consideration.
• Applicants must meet the university's postgraduate admission requirements.
• Applicants must have at least two years of relevant professional experience related to their intended field of study.
• Unpaid internships and voluntary work do not count toward the required professional experience.
• Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree obtained before September 2023.
• Applicants should have an excellent academic record, typically ranking among the top 10% of their graduating class.
• Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to returning to their home country after completing their studies.
• Applicants must demonstrate potential to contribute positively to the development of their home country.
