About the Scholarship

The Wageningen University Africa Scholarship Programme (ASP) provides an opportunity for talented international students to pursue a master's degree at Wageningen University & Research in the Netherlands. The programme is aimed at outstanding students from African and other eligible non-EU/EEA countries who demonstrate strong academic performance.

Selected scholars can receive comprehensive financial support covering major study and living expenses throughout the two-year master's programme. Applicants must first apply for an eligible MSc programme and receive unconditional admission before candidates who meet the scholarship criteria may be invited to participate in the Africa Scholarship Programme selection process, which can include an assessment and an online interview.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Have a GPA of at least 80% in the bachelor's degree.
  • Demonstrate outstanding academic performance, ranking among approximately the top 5% of students.
  • Meet the university's applicable English language requirements.
  • Receive an invitation to participate in the Africa Scholarship Programme selection procedure.
