About the DAAD Young Ambassadors Program

The DAAD Young Ambassadors Program is a two-semester volunteer opportunity for students and scholars who have studied or conducted research in Germany. Participants help promote study and research opportunities in Germany by working with study abroad offices, participating in education fairs, organizing presentations and information sessions, and answering questions from students interested in studying in Germany.

The programme also provides training designed to strengthen participants' understanding of German higher education and research opportunities, as well as their communication and presentation skills. Selected Young Ambassadors are expected to participate in the required training and actively promote opportunities to their university and community networks.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be a national of India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, or Sri Lanka.
  • Must have studied or currently be studying or conducting research in Germany.
  • Must be under 32 years old as of January 1, 2027.
  • Must be enthusiastic about promoting study and research opportunities in Germany.
  • Must be willing and able to participate in the required Young Ambassadors Training Workshop.
